Turn down television, conversation, and music playing from other speakers.

Run the short setup test again if you changed instruments, rooms, or playing distance.
Common questions
A few quick answers.
Does PlayCredits record practice?
No. PlayCredits listens for musical activity during an active session; it does not create or keep an audio recording of the practice session.
Why does PlayCredits need Screen Time permission?
Apple’s Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks let PlayCredits hold the apps you select. PlayCredits cannot see the private content inside those apps.
Can practice time carry over?
Yes. Earned minutes are kept in the PlayCredits balance so they can be used later rather than disappearing after one session.
Can another app use the microphone during practice?
Some apps also need the microphone, and iPhone may not allow both to listen at once. If practice detection stops, return to PlayCredits or use a practice app that does not need microphone access.
